Glashagel gained unauthorized access into the school's computer system on five occasions and changed numerous grades, according to police. Glashagel told police she targeted students who were on the ineligibility list.
Antioch school district co-superintendent Mike Nekritz said Tuesday none of the grade changes affected players' eligibility, and the Illinois High School Association has been contacted regarding the issue.
Nekritz said all grades have since been corrected.
"While it's not an ideal situation, we feel everyone's privacy was protected, and the corrected grades are accurate," Nekritz said.
Brian Glashagel was not linked to the grade changes and remains a teacher and coach at the school, according to Nekritz. Glashagel has been Antioch's varsity football coach for five seasons. Antioch went 8-2 and lost in the first round of the Class 6A playoffs this season.
The IHSA announced the charge does not affect Antioch's eligibility at this point.
"Our preliminary discussions with Antioch High School indicate that no ineligible players participated in any contests as a result of this situation," IHSA Executive Director Marty Hickman said in a statement. "We will continue to monitor the situation and work accordingly in the event that new information is brought to light."
The Antioch police department was initially contacted on Sept. 28 about school computer data being compromised after another teacher had discovered grades had been altered. Antioch police pinpointed Glashagel through interviews with school staff and IT personnel and subpoenas of records.
Glashagel was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond and was issued a court date for Dec. 9. She could face up to one year in jail and a fine up to $2,500 if convicted. She has also been put on administrative leave from the school.
A message left for Brian Glashagel was not immediately returned on Tuesday morning.
